Stayed 2 nights with a group of friends while attending a sports game at Aviva Stadium. The location is spectacular with a fantastic panorama around Dublin Bay from the front of the Hotel. We arrived early but reception was expecting us and the rooms were ready. The receptionist did offer to look after our luggage in the event taht the... More

Stayed for three nights in kingston in a newly refurbished room with a cracking view overlooking the sea. Room was a bit small with double and single bed in it but did the trick...bathroom was lovely with a great shower. Bit of a transition happening with old parts of the hotel getting refurbished but for the price it's perfectly acceptable.... More

Stayed here recently for a 2 night stay. Hotel was lovely - the downstairs was furnished nice and modern then the rooms were very old school. Beds very comfortable and we had a lovely family room overlooking dun laoghaire harbour which was delightful. Only downside at night we could here the dart (train) passing through every 15 minutes but as... More

We stayed at the Kingston to be close to the ferry for England. The views didn't disappoint from our comfortable harbour room. An added bonus to our stay was the restaurant downstairs which served amazing food anytime of the day, local seafood with an Italian influence.

I attended a party at this venue recently. Lovely ambience there, Hotel facilities were great. Food was 3 course sit down meal and was absolutely delicious. Service was brilliant, staff really friendly. Well done. Would highly recommend the restaurant. Location and view are great also.

Until recently I used to try and do business at this venue. At first things were fine but when you were at other hotels you realised that this hotel wasn't as good as it should be. One of the drawbacks is the lack of car parking. There is only 4 or 5 spaces available in a separate car park, i... More

Dear Sir Thank you for your recent review. As your main issue seems to be parking let me address that. At the Kingston we have the same problem facing many hotels in an urban setting and that is limited parking. This is compounded by the fact that we are located in a metre zone. We do however have a private... More

Don't get me wrong I enjoyed my stay at the Kingston but with its location it has so much untapped potential! I know the owners are undergoing a step by step renovation but it seems slow. Our room had a sea view and the beds were very comfortable. The room was small though as was the bathroom. Breakfast was freshly... More

Dear MarleyLetterkenny Thank you so much for your recent review and so many positive comments. As you pointed out we are undergoing a step by step renovation and as stated it is step by step. Although some work is only redecorating, a lot of the work undertaken involves complete remodelling which is time consuming when you are dealing with a... More

This hotel has a lovely ambience in the reception area which gets diluted somehow when you go into the bar restaurant. Reception was efficient and friendly. My friend and I stopped in to the bar and that old irish hotel tradition which is thankfully on the way out is unfortunately live and well in the bar at the kingston. We... More

Dear Niall F I'd like to thank you for your recent review and the positive comments you made. Likewise it is just as important that we hear and acknowledge any issues our guests experience during their stay with us. The prices charged for the beverages would be on a par with prices within the area however I was more disappointed... More

While in Dublin recently, I decided to stay in the Kingston. While it is not a 5 star and does not claim to be, I found it to be clean with a decent sized room and decent sized bathroom with bath and shower. The room had tea/coffee making facilities with loads of tea and coffee. There was also a hairdrier. The... More
