My son and I were travelling through Ireland for his 18th birthday and high school graduation gift. We came to Galway because his paternal ancestors hail from counties Galway and Roscommon. And boy were we happy we found this B&B. The Tourist Information office in Cork called ahead by two days to reserve the room. They really chose a gem... More

Me and my friends stayed in High Tide for one night in June to go to a concert. The concert was within walking distance which made the location ideal for us to stay in. Omly a 5min taxi drive from the B&B to the pubs and clubs. Rooms were clean and service was good. Very friendly family run business.

We would like to recommend this B&B. We made the reservation by phone and we got the confirmation by e-mail. The house is 10 to 15 minutes walking to Galway town centre. The house is relatively quiet. Our room was small but comfortable with a beautiful view to the sea. The only negative point was that the bathroom was very,... More

Pat made us feel very welcome. The house is nicely decorated, and has numerous paintings by local artists, and Pat was delighted to talk to us about them. The room was comfortable, and overlooked Galway Bay. Breakfast was good.

Stayed thee for a couple of nights. Close to city centre. Rooms were nice except that I wouldn't favor the sink in the room instead of the bathroom. Breakfast was good.

We flew into Shannon and then drove to Galway (about an hour drive). We were warmly greeted by Pat & Murphy (the dog). The dog was super sweet and he is mostly in the back rooms so you'll hardly notice he's there. Ask for one of the front rooms; they have a beautiful view of the ocean! Rooms were clean,... More

We concluded our Ireland trip with a stay in Galway. Pat was a wonderful host and storyteller, pointing out local attractions and helping us sort our dining experiences - including providing peanut butter for one guest, and ordering a pizza for us on our last night and leaving a light breakfast for us for our early morning departure. The rooms... More

We stayed 3 nights and we enjoyed very much our stay. Our host, Pat, was very friendly and helpful and always worried with our welfare. The room wasn't big but it was clean and comfortable. If you are looking for a place to stay this is the right choice. Miguel & Magdalena Lisbon - Birmingham

We highly recommend the High Tide B&B in Galway. Pat is a terrific hostess who provides top quality food for breakfast and a pleasant atmosphere. The B&B is close to both Salthill and Galway City which are within walking distance. It also faces onto Galway Bay.

For our first bed and breakfast in Galway, we could not ask for a better place. Pat and her family were warm and welcoming. Pat was an amazing cook and was very social, advising were to go andthings to see. It was great that the B&B was so close to the bay, giving us an excellent view. The rooms were... More
