This campsite was clean, great location by the sea, and reasonable value. There is no campers kitchen so if you want to make tea a camping stove is a requirement, and there is a charge for hot water to wash up, there is no hot water in the toilet block which is a bit of a concern! I'd recommend taking... More

The camp ground is conveniently located on the city bus line - take bus 402 to salthill - the bus drops you off a the street from the entrance sign. I traveled on a thursday in rush hour and it took a little over 20 minutes to get there and $1.80€ for the fair - on my return trip to... More

Just back from Salthill after weekend We were plesently surprised with all the work that has been done on the campsite It is really lovely with the tarmac road and pitches. This campsite has a great location by the sea with a walkway which takes you to the salthill prom. The owners are very friendly and helpful and have done... More

We have been guests at Salthill Caravan park in previous years and have always enjoyed it and found it to be a great location on the seafront. This was our first trip here this year, both my wife and I and our baby daughter in our caravan and my parents in their camper. When entering the campsite it was so... More

We stayed at Salthill for two nights in August 2012. The location was fantastic with fabulous views over Galway Bay. There is a lovely walk along the popular promenade into Salthill which we enjoyed. It is a handy place to stay if you are going into Galway City which we enjoyed visiting. The campsite also has an excellent children's playground.... More

I have stayed at this hoilday park for the last two summers with my wife and four children and I cannot believe the negative comments that have been left here. Firstly if there is one thing that the owner takes seriously, it is the security and welfare of everyone staying on the park. There is a coded barrier for all... More

Just arrived back from Salthill Caravan Park and I have to say that it was the worst caravanning experience that I have had in more than 30 years of caravan and motorhome touring. The staff were rude to the extreme. The touring pitches were crowded together and unsafe in my view. The site stank of sewerage. I was charged €29per... More

We have been regulars at this campsite now for three years, we are in our mid 50's and bring our caravan here most weekends. Firstly the view is stunning, I have read the reviews about security and this is total nonsense, there is a barrier at the entrance to the park and you are given a security code for this,... More
