I stayed in Old Weir Lodge in October 2011 for 5 nights. I sent the inquiry via email and made the reservation via email also - and got replies very quickly. Upon arrival I felt welcome and got a huge room (a big family room was available, so they gave it to me although I was travelling solo). Luxoriously spacy,... More

We have had a warm welcome from Maureen. The location is ideal for visiting Killarney and surroundings. The room we stayed in was clean and spacious. The bathroom excellent equiped with a large bath, a powerful shower and nice and soft towels. Breakfast complete with a great choice. Love to come back again. More

We stayed here in May 2009 and it was great. They had a room available for us at a reasonable price. The owners were friendly and helpful. Dermott even gave us a few pointers on where to go to next and what to see (we were just driving ourselves around Ireland at our leisure). The lodge's decor is lovely, it... More

Wonderful welcome from Maureen and Dermot. Hotel is superb, comfortable king sized beds, large spacious bedrooms and bathrooms. Wide choice of delicious breakfasts. Short walk to the centre of Killarney and walk the other way and you can watch the famous Red Deer come down from the mountain to feed. Bliss! More

Having stayed at the Old Weir Lodge a couple of times before I was looking forward to my stay with my daughter. Unfortunately, due to some genuine confusion at check-in(admittedly mainly on my part) I will never be going back there. I felt the owner handled the situation very badly and the way she spoke to me was uncalled for... More

Very nice hotel. Ideal location on the muckruss road. Breakfasts were average. Rooms nice a little dated. Probably would suit an older/ retired couple More

We were greeted by Maureen, one of the owners when we checked in and was made to feel very welcome. In fact, all of their staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We asked for a King Size bedroom and got one, the room was very comfortable and very tasteful. They have a nice bar (for residents only) and Dermott, Maureens... More

The B&B (if you can still call this set-up a bed & breakfast) is well located, well run and maintained but rather pricey for a b&b. The Gap of Dunloe Tour is an absolute must. More
