We stayed at Newlands for one night while touring Ireland. We felt welcome and the B&B is clean with all the little touches to make our stay more comfortable. Mariad and Jim friendly and accomodating - Jim even drove us to town in the evening. Breakfast was delicious. Would return.

Outstanding, as all other reviews already mention. It's in a beautiful and quiet location, and the hosts couldn't be more friendly or accommodating. Our only regret was that we couldn't stay longer. Can't go wrong here!

My wife and I stayed at Newlands Lodge on April 3 and 4. Newlands is located about 6 km from Kilkenny, so you are out in the country but still close to Kilkenny and all it has to offer. This was our first B and B of the trip and we had a wonderful stay. We were greeted by Jimmy with tea and cookies. Our room for three was spacious for three girls and lots of luggage. We had a wonderful breakfast in the morning with fresh scones. I would definitely stay here again!

After learning there's a second inn named Newlands a mile or so away (we were not the first to make the error) we found Newlands Lodge and the warm welcome if Mairead and Jimmy. Excellent recommendations, great breakfast, great room, good location, great value. Genuine effort to make us feel comfortable and welcome.
