Stayed in The Railway Hotel last night, found it most delightful. The staff and locals were more then generous. Had a lovely stay, don't understand why ignorant people feel the need to complain because of their whiskey problems, its not the end of the world.

The staff of the Railway Hotel were extremely helpful, and very friendly. My friends and I had just arrived in Limerick for St. Patrick's Day. The staff was patient as they answered our questions, and accommodating with our needs. The room was comfortable, and breakfast was delicious!!

Very conveniently located to the bus and train station. This hotel is no frills, but at hostels prices it was a relief to finally stay somewhere with towels and TV. If passing by Limerick I would recommend this for a night. The breakfast was good, and the staff are very friendly.

Located across the road from the main (only) Bus & Train Station in Limerick City, this establishment provides good shelter from rain and soft seating for a traveller waiting for a bus or train. My visit was mid afternoon and odours indicated that the lunch trade was finishing up. A typically slack hour, it was hard to make a firm... More

I read trip advisor before I came down and knew what I was walking into. Most of the negatives are true there is a smell in the hallways, the decor is outdated, the walls are very thin and the bar customers made it known it was closed at four in the morning. That would be a bad review but the positives balance... More

i was on a quick trip to Limerick to meet friends, as the hotel is near both the railway station we meet there, lunch was just starting and the smell of bacon filled the air, the chef was having a great banter with the people he served, a friend asked him how long the food would be served for. and... I was flying from Shannon and picked this hotel as it was ideally located just across the bus station where I was taking my bus to the airport. A friendly receptionist checked me in, gave me a map of Limerick city and showed me places to go (as I wanted to do a bit of exploring too) and got into... More

Goodness gracious this place is horrible. I mean WTF is anyone thinking allowing this building to stand let alone operate. It is unsafe to a horrid fault. I get it, alot of you are broke and cannot afford something half decent so you goto hostels. Your better off sleeping on the street. This place reeks of gasoline and there are... More

I stayed here in December as it's so close to Limerick bus station. It's certainly a no frills hotel. The room was small, basic and reasonably clean but the carpets were old and stained. There was no hot water in the bathroom when I went for a shower, the receptionist said there was a problem with the hot water that... More
