What a wonderful find! I visited in january with my best friend and her 6-month old baby from the UK, flying into the nearby and very convenient Knock Airport. Ardtarmon House is a beautiful old house, atmospheric, lots of original features, furnishings and paintings, a great choice of books to read and very relaxing. The hosts are kind, friendly, interesting... More

I spent one night at Ardtarmon House with my best friend and baby daughter. The house is set in a wild, yet beautiful area of the coast and is a short walk (during which we were escorted by the family dog) to a breath-taking beach. The House itself is imposing and holds such history-I loved wondering through its rooms and... More

Where could one ever spend such delightful holiday! We just did it at Ardtarmon House and on a budget on Euro in USD. Hosts Chas and Christa Henry were super accommodating to us and the rest of guests. Sent us to countryside jaunts with ease. Just a grand country manor feel and experience. Would do same again but longer than... More

As you let the mad world rush by give yourself a pat on the back for taking the time to enjoy life's simple pleasures. Comfortable cottage, lush gardens, beach, water (great swimming), fantastic views - and Ben Bulben.

This is a wonderful place to relax and let yours cares just wash away. It is so quiet and the sounds you here are of those of nature calling to you. We spent 9 days there in one of the very comfortable cottages. Christa and Charles Henry are very wonderful people and do all they can to make you feel... More

This was by far the best place we stayed our whole trip through the West Coast. Great house, wonderful surroundings, a dog that shows you the way to the beach, and a very comfy bed! Would love to come back again in the future and stay longer!

This home is the fondest memory of a perfect & memorable trip. This is an historic country house surrounded by spectacular scenery with a beautiful path to Sligo/Drumcliff Bay. Antiques decorated our spacious room which had a sitting area, beautiful fireplace & mantle & ensuite bathroom. This wonderful place was matched by the graciousness & charm of the owners Charles... Four of us stayed 2 nights here, in the main house (rather than the apartments) and it was everything we had hoped for. Faded (in the best possible sense) elegance and a sense both of timelessness and of time having passed. The rooms are not especially luxurious but very spacious, and the beds extremely comfortable. An early morning walk down... More

My wife and I stayed at Ardtarmon House in May 2009 as a special treat. Having looked it up on the web Ardtarmon Manor Farmhouse looked like a real nice, warm and comfortable place to stay. The impression of Ardtarmon on the web page made the Guest House look better than it actually is. It reality, it was far removed... More

Just stayed 2 nights and can only say how lucky we were to have found this lovely olde world style country house.! Its faded charm and easy relaxed atmosphere makes you feel totally at home and Charles and his charming wife Christa go out of their way to look after all their guests in a very personal way. The weekend... More
