We stay in Harrogate regularly and ended up here as the usual places we stay were full. The stay started off quite annoyingly; there was only one person on reception as we were checking in - as a result it took 30 minutes (though when we eventually got to the front of the line he was very sweet ); then... Having stayed in what feels like every hotel in Harrogate over the past 6 months I have really started to enjoy stayin at The St George Hotel. The rooms are clean and comfortable. Some are smaller than others but in general they are all more than adequate. The use of the lesiure club with a steam room, sauna and swimming... More

First the good things: the staff are very friendly and helpful from reception to dining room staff. The hotel is very warm throughout and the bed linen and towels were clean and fresh. It is well situated near shops and other amenities. We paid a low price and therefore we consider this hotel to be OK for what we paid.... More

It's good to hear that your break was good value for money and that you appreciated the service you received from my team. I feel your comment regarding carpets being dirty is unfair as this is not true. We are constantly updating the building and will continue to do so. Regards Edwina More

The main (building) photo shown on the website is actually a side view of the hotel across a public road when without cars while the front of the hotel is directly on a main through road at one of the town. We had a room on this side and it was good with the noise, under normal circumstances, being minimal... More

I stayed here with my fiance over the bank holiday weekend. First of all the staff are excellent, very polite, but friendly & with it & extremely helpful. If taking your car you must book a space as car parking at hotel is limited & costs £5 a day. We stayed in room 226 which was very large with bath... More

Stayed with friends for 2 nights over bank holiday weekend. Food was very good and staff very friendly. My friend said to say she didn't like fake flower on tables. Thanks for your review it’s good to read that you and your friends enjoyed our hotel. If you decide to visit again call a couple of days before your arrival and we will do our best to organise a larger room. The bar prices are very competitive in Harrogate and in some cases we are cheaper. Kind regards Edwina More
