This is a tired Holiday Inn, but with no major issues. Reception are pleasant but slow if there is a queue. The rooms are a bit tired but comfortable and spacious, given the price. The bed was comfortable. My only gripe is that there is building work at the hotel currently and the car-park is an minefield and certainly the... More

Basingstoke, late on a Wednesday evening... After working late and travelling down I was tired and hungry. Holiday Inn? OK, let's see. So with a cheery registration, could things be getting better, am off to the room. Clean, tidy. Very goos. Ate in the restaurant as am no fan of chasing restaurants on my own, and yes, it is a... I’ve been staying in hotel for some time now with work and this is by far the worst. The Staff – Well what can I say, everything comes with an attitude!! They seem to think they are doing you a favor when you for something which is a basic requirement in a Travel Lodge never mind the Holiday Inn. This... More

Dear Chris B, May I firstly on behalf of the team apologise for the appalling level of service you have received, clearly this falls well short of my expectations. I would very much like to discuss in detail your experience as this is not similar to some of the exceptional reviews we regularly receive. Please do email me at tom.gaskell@ihg.com,... More

Friendly staff, clean rooms, nice foods. Bus station to Central Reading (bus every 15min) is right beside the hotel, also local supermarket adjacent to the hotel. More

The hotel was not a lot to look out from the outside, but very nice inside. Staff were friendly, and the room was clean and comfortable. The only negative point is the location, there is not a lot to do in the immediate area and it is a bit out of the town centre, although you can walk to town... More

I quite enjoyed my stay here overall. The hotel is not particularly large, but it's smaller size makes it seem more friendly and personal. The room was absolutely fine. It had plenty of space, a table, chairs and a desk. It was spotlessly clean and well maintained. There was a decent sized bathroom, with a bath and shower, and plenty of... More
