Having arranged this as a Valentine's treat for my husband, I booked the Honeymoon Suite, was disappointed that it was just an over large room, with a very small sofa in it. The breakfast was disappointing, the sausage tasted of bleach and everything was swimming in grease. The bathroom was freezing cold. The staff were very friendly and helpful but... More

I stay here every 3 months or so on business. the hotel is dated but very quiet. the rooms are comfortable but can be very hot. The food is not very good in either the bar or the restaurant. It is never seasoned meaning it is generally bland and fails to live up to the expectations from the menu. I... More

Stayed here to go see a TV show being filmed at Maidstone Studios. Was good central location. Room was very small for a double and could have done with a bit more thorough cleaning ( hairs on bathroom floor, stained toilet seat, marks on curtains). It was fine for a short stopover but wouldn't recommend for weekend away. Staff were... More

A very smart hotel, clean and cosy. Breakfast was a nice array of items. Rooms were cosy and smart with lots of nice extras i.e. a sewing kit and a mini cosmetic kit (cotton pads, cotton buds, nail file). More

When you enter the lobby of the hotel, it is pleasing to the eye, Reception staff were ok - not english, but could understand her. When I entered my room thats when the disappoint began, the room smelt strongly of moth balls and paint, the paint was obviously trying to cover up the damp smell but just made it ten... More

Dear Gemma, Thank you for taking the time to post a review on your recent stay. Please accept my sincere apologies for not meeting your expectations on this occasion. I've stayed here several times now and overall this is a good value hotel. I've paid anywhere between £49 and £90. I stayed last Friday Oct 13th. The staff, as always, were very welcoming and very helpful. Unfortunately the room we got on this occasion was the worse we've had to date - Room 301 - it is a nicely... More

I stayed here on business with a foreign delegation. The staff were a delight and a credit to the Best Western chain. The hotel did not feel like a chain hotel as all the staff behaved as if it was a small family run business. There was a real feeling of ownership and willingness to help. On arrival one of... More

A late booking and a cheap price meant I was not expecting very much yet I was pleasantly surprised. I've spent much more and got a lot less elsewhere in Maidstone. I was given a room upgrade on arrival which was large with a huge bathroom, corner bath, walk in shower, nice sofa, desk and a very large bed. Everything... More

Generally this hotel is OK. Felt a little old fashioned in places, with no lift and lots of fire doors etc, but otherwise was fine. The receptionist offered help with my bags, on checkin, but after climbing two flights of stairs and struggled thro the fire doors this fit adult male wished he had accepted the offer. The breakfast was... More
