Went there for a wine tasting evening whereby the there was a wine paring with every course and six courses to boot. Brian the host for the evening was very knowledgeable and his choices were inspired. The food itself was unexpected, the quality was great and interesting and there were a good 20+ people in which made for a good... More

We went for a Mothers Day meal in the restaurant, four adults and one baby. When booking the member of staff was very friendly and as soon as we stepped in we were welcomed. The restaurant was tastefully decorated and didn't feel cramped. The menu was not huge but didn't need to be as there were several things we all... More

Looking for a hotel in Maidstone we just happened to come across th Townhouse Hotel, nearly booked the Hilton but so glad we didn't. If you want something a little different from the big chains this is the place to go. A very warm welcome from Adam when we arrived, a really nice quiet lovely furnished room, very clean and... More

An up and coming hotel. Next door to our offices so we now use it for all our entertaining. Really nicely refurbished but its jewel is the chef Gareth. This is Maidstone's hidden gem. Excellent food beautifully presented. Very reasonable prices and friendly staff. Give it a try.

My fiance and I spent the weekend in Maidstone and had booked into another hotel, due to overbooking we were sent down to the King Street Hotel (apparently the townhouse hotel now) We were lucky! Much nicer staff, much nicer rooms and the food was fantastic!

My husband, 6 month old daughter and I stayed at The Town House Hotel in December 2012. We needed a hotel near to our friends wedding which was at Turkey Mill (only 5 minutes away). From the second we checked-in to the second we checked-out, the manager Russell and the owner Neil made us feel very welcome and at home.... More

"good place to stay" very friendly staff nicely refurbished overall rating 8,5/10 Only downside is the temperature control; but staff is more than willing to provide an extra heater if necessary. Food has also improved tremendously in the past year.

PROS: The nearness to the city, free parking, comfortable bed, friendly staff, nice breakfast. CONS: The lack of sufficient hooks or shelves in the bathroom to hang a robe up or place toiletry items. But the main thing was the lack of temperature controlled heating in the room, just the heated towel rail in the bathroom. It was rainy and... More

We booked this hotel because we wanted somewhere near Maidstone for one night while visiting my daughter. We knew that it was a town centre hotel and opened directly onto the street, but were not prepared to find that we had to find our own parking until 6pm when we would be allowed to use a car park opposite the...
