The Bell is a lovely, traditional building. Sadly, when we stayed, the service was very poor. On the Saturday there was no hot breakfast available. Admittedly, they were prepared and sent us off the the mearby Wetherspoons and then reimbursed us. The bar service was excrutiatingly slow. Also, at various times during our weekend, they ran out of Bell bitter,... More

We stayed here to break our journey to Cornwall and were pleasantly surprised. Some of the reviews are a bit off-putting but we found nothing to complain about at all. The room was clean and pleasantly furnished in a quaint sort of way and the bed was very comfortable. Plenty of tea, coffee and milk. A large bathroom had a... More

We stayed 2 nights when we visited the - excellent - Malvern Spring Flower Show. I had read the Tripadvisor reviews beforehand and I'm delighted to come down on the side of the 'ayes'. The hotel is not the Ritz - but then we had not paid anything like the Ritz price. Very good value - the rooms were clean... More

We took some friends to The Bell for my special birthday weekend break. Expected our rooms to be together as I had booked 4 rooms a couple of months ago - unfortunately our room was far away from our friends rooms and they had a job to find us!! Our room was quite shabby - broken towel rail, broken drawers... More

Just checked in. We still had a long wait for anyone to bother to come and give us keys and the lady in question appeared surprised that we were less than chirpy. The rooms are still tired. Bathroom fittings are grubby, cracked and stained. The sad thing is that a bit of bleach and elbow grease would put most things... More

Stayed here one night. Excellent location, friendly and helpful staff. Excellent breakfast. Also ate here in the evening. Two course set menu was very good for the price. Creaky floors but this is to be expected in hotel of this age. Room 7 overlooked courtyard, no problems with noise except from fellow guests coming back rather late!! Excellent shower, spacious... We stayed here for 2 nights B&B ,very reasonably priced on a Spring offer. Ideally situated opposite the Abbey and convenient for the town centre. Close to the walks along the river. The room was clean and tidy and excellent for the charge. The breakfast was adequate and excellently served by friendly staff. The menu was cheap and cheerful again... More

! stayed one night in single room no. 18. The staff were friendly, helpful and courteous. The room itself was at the rear of the building with a clean spacious bathroom and views over a picturesque lane leading to Tewkesbury Ham. Breakfast was included, al la carte together with a selection of buffet items.

Stayed again at the bell last w/end. Telephoned on the saturday to advise on late arrival, no one available to answer the telephone? Did not appear to have enough staff. Girls at the bar were also dealing with the reception? Food, although good quality seemed to be pre-cooked. Ordered sunday lunch came back with it immediately. Standards seem to have... More
