We recently stayed at this charming Inn with some friends for some 'chill out' time and were not at all disappointed. The Inn has lots of character and is very well located to explore the Cotswolds. The food was excellent and great value in comparison to some of the local restaurants. We stayed in room 6 - the bed was... More

We stayed here last weekend and it was a really great base. The hotel itself comprises of seven room, located above a very quaint bar/restaurant which was clearly popular with locals. Well appointed rooms with tea and coffee making facilities, hairdryer (important for us girls!) and compact but good shower. Very friendly staff, great breakfast and a good location if... More

I first stumbled across this inn many years ago but could never find a good enough reason to stay here - well now I have. I haven't even left yet but it has exceeded my expectations to such an extent that I couldn't wait to write a review. Within minutes of arriving, our room was upgraded at no extra cost.... More

my wife and i stayed at the eight bells in campden for a long weekend in March. The weather was cold - but the atmosphere and welcome at the Inn were warm and cosy! the room had a large, comfy bed, with en suite bathroom and overlooked the terraced garden so was peaceful and also being off the (quite noisy)... I recently stayed one week at this lovely old inn. The owners and staff are friendly and attentive without being intrusive. The accommodation is cosy, clean and warm. The food is very good indeed and definitely more upscale, in fact in another league to usual pub food. The atmosphere is welcoming, and having been busy with two big events -... More

The pub itself is quite charming - as is the whole of Chipping Campden. The food and service however leave much to be desired. While the menu reads well and describes the food in tempting, mouthwatering adjectives, it is merely overpriced, ordinary, bland pub fare. As a pub, it's about the best of the (poor) bunch in Chipping Campden and... More

Breakfast was great and the pub was nice. Staff were friendly. Room and shower were very small and very basic. Free wifi was available which is great, especially as I did not get any phone reception there.

Bar area fantastic and rustic as it should be in this part of the country.Staff friendly, and as we were staying i thought the owner would have said hello but no, not even introduced. The room itself ( at £120) was fine but nothing spectacular, the shower is completely inadequate, you will have trouble getting wet !. We also found... More

Had a 1 night stay, specifically to look at the renovated beams at the pub but also to have a break in this lovely town. The pub is warm and welcoming with good beer and a selection of food from the plain to the more expensive. The food we had was excellent - real yorkshire pud (not frozen) and home... More

We have just come back from a 3 night stay at the Eight Bells, room 7 was lovely and very comfortable. We ate in the restuarant and the food and service was very good as was breakfast. Would recomend it to anyone who likes to stay in a place which is quirky and old with plenty of character.
