The Lygon Arms enjoys a central location in Chipping Campden. We stayed in room 6, a king room overlooking the street. Very spacious room with a mini-fridge and a large bathroom with soaking tub. You'll hear the occasional car pass by in the night, especially if you leave the window open for fresh air. We walked to Huxley's and Caminetti's... More

We stayed here for 3 nights. My first love was the tiled bathroom, I soaked in the bath within 1 hour of checking in. Looking at the lovely old windows from our bed at night, softly lit by the town's streetlight, I felt like Wendy in Peter Pan. The room was comfortable and beautiful, the breakfast (included) was incredible, and... More

Stayed there this past weekend for a short break with my husband and 2 kids (5 and 2 yrs). We stayed in one of the Courtyard Suites and the staff were helpful when booking & when we got there. They had a bed for my 5 year old and separate cot for my 2 year old. The room was spotless... More

2nd stay at this fabulous hotel. We had a courtyard room with a really comfy bed, Jacuzzi bath and shower, dressing gowns, good complimentary toiletries, fluffy towels changed daily, under floor heating, good selection of hot drinks, bottled water, fruit in a little fridge and much more. The breakfasts were incredible and if you manage one you won't need lunch!... More

we stumbled upon the Lygon Arms on a day trip to the Cotswolds in search for something to eat. When we arrived there wasn't any other customers in there but we were greeted by a lovely blonde lady who really made us feel at home. We went in February and it was freezing so it was nice to sit by... More

My husband and I had on overnight stay here during April 2013. We were in one of the Courtyard Suites, the bed was the most comfortable one I have ever experienced (I am going to call them to find out who their supplier is). The room was spotlessly clean, the bathroom had lots of plush towels; which made using the... More

My husband arranged a suprise weekend at the Lygon Arms and unknown to me also invited our two sons and their partners. The hotel could not have done more for us. We all had lovely rooms and bathrooms, which have been recently refurbished. At night we had dinner in a room of our own which was wonderful as we were celebrating... More

A lovely lunch on a cold bank holiday. We popped in to the lygon arms while visiting the area and were given a cheery greeting by the two young ladies who were working behind the bar. Bank holidays are obviously a busy time in Chipping Campden but they quickly found a table for us and served us drinks. Both of... More

Really warm and welcoming public bar, the most homely in Chipping Campden. Excellent selection of beers and the bar food is more akin to a good restaurant. Mine host Ivor Potter was on great form as always and long may it continue.

We visited Chipping Campden on a snowy Saturday in January. The weather had kept many people at home and the town was very quiet. We walked past all the usual venues and peered in the windows. Nobody in anywhere at 6pm but we chose the Lygon Arms for an early dinner as their bar looked very cosy with a (fake... More
