We loved the Ecolodge. Veronique was a fantastic hostess, accommodating to our requests, and always ready with a great continental breakfast in the morning. She helped orient us to Bordeaux, so we were able to make the most of our time there. The rooms are also beautifully done, and the street is quiet at night (during the day students from... More

We stayed two nights in April 2013. Great rooms, fantastic breakfast. Really awesome shower too which is a real find in France. Veronique is an excellent host with good restaurant recommendations for the evening. FYI €15 taxi from railway station or tram is quite cheap. 20 min walk along the riverbank promenade to the main tourist area.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Veronique's chambre d'hôte. It had a great ambiance and is in a good location. Veronique was an excellent hostess and her healthy breakfast was an added bonus. I recommend this as a good place to stay in Bordeaux.

One of the main reasons for us returning to Bordeaux was Veronique and her beautiful house and hospitality in Bordeaux, a break which we've talked about constantly for the last 2 years until we returned!. Each room is individually decorated and feels incredibly homely. It's Eco and green but in a very natural and unforced way. Breakfast is either at... More

5 of us recently visited in March for a friends birthday. The hotel was absolutely great. Veronique was very helpful and ensured we had a good stay. She was able to arrange our hire car to St-Emillion which is well worth a visit when you stay. The rooms were all very individual and had nice touches like old books, antique... More

If anyone was to go to Bordeaux, i would really recommend Ecolodge. Veronique has poured her soul into this place, with every bit of the property tastefully and thoughtfully put together. The attention to detail, and the interior decor is just beautiful. Her cat adds more charm to the place. Veronique and her partner go the extra mile in helping... More

Ecolodge is a haven of calm in a quiet street, but is with easy access to the city centre, the river and the trams. The welcome from Veronique is warm and efficient, and the rooms are spacious, well appointed and very comfortable. The breakfast is generous and relaxed and the house has the feel of a charming family home. Highly... More

The rooms are so incredibly charming, clean and large I never wanted to leave the room! The owner was very helpful and she spoke very good English. There is a secure garage which was great for our touring bikes. One of my favourite hotels in all of France!!

Our arrival by car at Ecolodge had been rather fraught, Bordeaux is a large city, has a tram system which I am not used to and has a near multitude of one-way streets to circumnavigate. Veronique our host immediately offered a calming hand on a very furrowed brow. The Chambre d’hote is actually in the Chartrons region of Bordeaux, just... More

A beautifully restored building with furniture to match. Very large room and a spectacular bathroom - all excellent value for money. Breakfast lovely too, served at a communal table in a light atrium. Veronique our hostess could not have been more charming and helpful. Check out the restaurants in the neighbouring square - a lovely atmosphere away from the more... More
