Good position in the centre of the city, not far from the Megalithic sites and the city museum. The staff was nice. Simple location, the rooms were big and clean. The breakfast was good, but not so abundant. It is perfect for tourists who want to visit the city in a few days.

No check in before 3pm means NO SERVICE before 3pm. Door was locked, no sign, no bell, no one answers the phone. We waited a while on a dirty street with bags and kids and then gave up and got another hotel. We went back the next day to ask for a refund but we were refused. Apparently the hotel has fallen on hard times during covid and they couldn’t afford to refund our money eventhough we didn’t stay there and no one had been there to let us in. Not sure with the combination of zero compassion, bad service and difficult market conditions, that the hotel will be in operation much longer. Anyway, best avoided.

The hotel looks a bit tired, with fraying carpets and a lack of fresh paint. But our room was clean and the beds were comfortable, although it was on the third floor with no lift. The room was quite small with only one cupboard and no other drawer space. The bath was deep and short - so no long lazy bathing possible and it was quite high so to climb in without a handrail to grab onto required a bit of agility. The shower had enough pressure but after a minute it would go cold for 30 seconds or so and then resume warmth. The enamel on the bath was a bit chipped and the toilet flush broke on the last day there. Rooms were only cleaned when the key was on the hook, so important to leave it there when out. But except for a bit of noise from trucks unloading on market days we were well away from the traffic and the bells on the church didn't ring after 10pm. So we actually slept really well. Breakfast was excellent with good coffee, superb mini pain raisins, croissants etc. (warm and straight from the bakery at 7.45 in the morning). Location is excellent. Apart from a slightly frosty welcome when I insisted on a quiet room the staff - and especially the owner - were really helpful and friendly.

Central location in the village was ideal, very handy for restaurants and shops. Parking was a little 'hit and miss'. Our room was a little small but adequate for short stays, Clean and quiet. No lift. It is only a short drive to the megaliths and down to the sea at Quiberon.

Lovely place to stay, friendly people multi lingual, clean spacious room and bathroom, no tea coffee making. Hotel bar and restaurant closed Sunday 1 pm until Monday. Other places not open until 12 and some 7pm. Carnac mini train does not pickup town centre.

This hotel’s location in the historical centre was excellent. Beautiful surroundings of the village, church and an easy walk to the beach. Our room was basic but comfortable and excellent value for the price. We had a beautiful view from our window on the 3rd floor across the rooftops. There is no elevator but the wide old stairs were easy to climb and the exercise did us good after dining out locally on crepes and cider!! The staff were friendly too and offered us helpful suggestions.

Five of us stayed here in late June, and it suited our requirements exactly. The owner was extremely helpful, pointing out safe places to park to avoid being clamped due to the market on Sunday. He was also very kind to our children. The accommodation was clean and spacious. However it mightn't suit those with reduced mobility, as it was up 3 flights of stairs

shocking a hotel has no staff after 8pm and they give you a tiny raffel ticket with a code back into the building this should not be allowed to have a 2 star rating when they dont provide a member of staff to let in their paying guests during the night. If it had not been for the restaurant next door who called them we would have been sleeping on the street. an absolute rip off no kettle in room for 62 euros a night tired hostel style place. dont stay here

While in France recently I nipped to Carnac for the weekend and stayed at La Marine. The hotel was clean, a bit worn, but the staff were very friendly. On the second night we ate at the restaurant, and the calamari persillie was absolutely delicious. If your looking for a nice hotel right in the centre of Carnac with great food and all at a reasonable price, this is the place for you.

We love the Carnac area, but had never stayed in the town before and were delighted when La Marine said they could accommodate us for the night. Room was fine, nothing special, but clean & not too cramped. We were lucky enough to arrive just as the town was setting up a night market. Lots & lots of stalls for craftspeople, from art, jewellery, clothing, ornaments, chocolates and our favourite, Breton Caramel. Twinkling street lights added to the magic, as did Breton musicians in the town square, along with folk dancers. Add a good dollop of warm temperature and you have the perfect mix for an excellent evening! And it was! Despite one of the most atrocious meals I have ever encountered! We made the mistake of thinking that because we were staying at La Marine, we ought to eat there. Ha!! Eat we did not, although we did order and pay for food. Service was poor. Long wait and when the food finally arrived it was literally inedible. Frozen food at it's very worst. When the waitress came to take away two full plates of uneaten food she didn't even question it! So we headed off back to a local bar where we could watch the people enjoying the night market, listen to the music, and get a very good hotdog to fill our empty tummies! (So much for La Gastronomy!) Breakfast wasn't much better. Coffee was good. Croissants were yuk. Continental meats were limited & poor. Overall we had a fantastic stay in Carnac, and if we had just stayed at La Marine on a room only basis it would have been fine. But avoid paying for any meals here - you will only end up having to pay again to eat elsewhere for something edible!!!
