I'll keep this short. A truly exceptional place to stay; genuinely French, very relaxing, and a stunning property. A delightful and healthy breakfast, a comfortable salon, and excellent wifi. Sophie and Gilles have it just right; I was so impressed after 3 days, I'm going back for a week in August.

We too 'stumbled' across L'Oustal on a booking web site when looking for an overnight stay in the middle of France. What a find. We could not believe our luck to have chanced upon this gem of a Hotel. I agree with everything all the other reviewers have written about the rooms,the breakfast, the friendliness of Sophie and Gilles it is a simply beautiful and charming place to stay.

I will definitely be coming back here. It's absolutely wonderful. Sophie is great, so welcoming and helpful. There's a sitting area downstairs with treats & drinks (complimentary), the breakfasts are delicious and wholesome, and the rooms are adorable. I strongly recommend this place if in the Loire Valley area! Worth the stop!
