Good standard, easonably priced basic B&B hotel on other side of river from Chinon. Pleasant 10 min stroll over the bridge to all the restaurants and bars. Parking limited in hotel, but plenty on-street. Owner helpful and wifi savvy. Good for a few days en-passant to visit Loire chateaux and vineyards.

This hotel is great! The couple running it work hard to make you comfortable. The breakfast was fine, better than many others we have tried on this trip. The rooms may be small, but they are clean and the bathrooms are modernized.

Our room was a good size and looked out towards some quaint old stone buildings. Everything in the hotel was clean and pleasant. The bathroom included a hair dryer which I had not expected. St Jacques is a small hotel run by Catherine and Jacques. Very friendly, showed us all the restaurants in the town. Our room was 3rd floor, no elevator so pack light, or bring a husband :). The couple running this small hotel were lovely and extremely helpful and friendly. The room was very comfortable and the bathroom was nice, nothing to complain about. It was around the corner from the river, very central and in a beautiful town!!
