Our family of 5 (3 children) stayed with Shaun and Patrick for two nights and went away wishing it had been more. We didn't want to leave! The accomodation, the location, the hosts...were all a person could ask for, and more! The rooms were charming, the breakfasts were delicious and bountiful, the location was a perfect launching place for excursions... More

This is a lovely place, shaun was so welcoming, and the location was perfect. Honestly, one of the best places we've ever been. If you have never gone to a small independently run place, be reassured, it is nice, clean, wine inthe fridge, quiet and safe. Absolutely perfect. Our family went last summer, sorry to take so long to do... More

We had enjoyed a previous short stay at Le Clos Rabelais and had always hoped to return. Recently we did, this time with a group of friends to celebrate a significant birthday. As before, we felt immediately relaxed and at home in the welcoming atmosphere that Shaun provides. The rooms are comfortable and well-equipped and the B and B is... More

When you choose a B&B over a hotel you're taking an extra risk because you're in a more intimate setting with the proprietor. When this works well it makes for a great and memorable experience surpassing the anonymity of a hotel. I'm glad to say that Shaun provides a brilliant welcome, comfortable rooms and a terrific breakfast, all at a... More

Spent 1 night at Le Clos Rabelais in October 2012. Very comfortable and close to Chateaux Langeais and restaurants. Large dining/sitting room for use of guests. Quiet location if a lovely small village. Great host Shaun. Highly recommended!

This is my second time to stay at Le Clos Rabelais - Shaun makes this the sort of place in which you plan on returning to again and again. Trust me - I have just completed a second stay at Le Clos Rabelais, and my mother and I are planning the third round for next Fall. Shaun truly provides the... More

This was the most enjoyable B&B that we have ever stayed. On welcoming us, to our departure, Shaun made the stay very comfortable. It was like staying with friends, from the room to the meals and the overall welcoming atmosphere. The food was fantastic with candlelit dinners with the others staying there. Shaun said that he would make the stay... More

Shaun gave us a great welcome and our two dogs Coco & Betty as we headed south on our journey to Spain. We were made so welcome as soon as we parked the car and what a fantatsic little "Love Shack" we had for the night in the garden. Everything catered for included an excellent bottle of vino to help... More

We had a fantastic stay, Shaun was a great host and always at the ready with the vin rouge! Langeais is a beautiful village to stay in with lots to do and see, however avoid swimming in the fishign lake - this tends to upset the fishermen and rather the rather irate Garde de la Peche Would also recommend a... Shaun was such a fantastic host. We stayed two nights and were very comfortable, the rooms are lovely with lots of lovely touches to make us feel very welcome including the teddy on the bed for our 8-year old! Food fantastic, we had a candlelit dinner one night under the kiwi vine. Lots to do as well since Langeais is... More
