My husband and I stayed here for one night on our way to Arcachon and another night on our way back. It was truly magnificent. The staff were great really accommodating and helpful. The food was absolutely delicious; the dinner was very special with locally sourced cheese and wine and breakfast was brilliant with delicious pastries made by the pastry... More

We stayed here for two nights as part of a tour group. Our room was quite spacious and very comfortable and very nicely appointed. Our dinners were excellent. And our waiter recommended a Vouvray wine that we really liked. At all times the staff made us feel quite at home. The gardens and the terrace were also quite nice. I... More

Stayed here late Aug 2012 with my wife and 7 year old daughter for 8 nights in room in adjacent building former stables to main chateau (1 min walk from main hotel entrance) Seriously lovely place, very very friendly English speaking staff that did all they could to help and accommodate. We booked through Booking Com and often feel we are given the worst rooms. We were shown to attic room with no lift and when shown the room we were told by the member of staff 'this is of my favourite rooms'. She must have thought we were village idiots! Tired and faded and instead of three nights, we checked... More

We loved our two-night stay here. Although part of a tour group we were made to feel like invited guests by every member of staff. Our room was HUGE, beautifully furnished and welcoming. The Berber carpet was cream coloured and seemed new, so we had no hesitation leaving our shoes in the clothes closet near the door to sink our... More

We loved Chateau de Rochecotte! From the warm welcome we received upon arrival, to the beautiful room and the gourmet meals, we could not have been happier with the Chateau de Rochecotte! It was perfectly located in the heart of the wine country and very conveniet to many of the Loire castles. For a truly memorable view of Chenonceau, take... More

This is a very unique peaceful place. The Chateau has gracious spacious salons and dining rooms,do not miss the collection of locally produced late XIX century porcelain. The surrounding park is huge, follow the trails above the hotel and discover the pond full of pink water lilies The restaurant is well appointed and tables are far apart background music mercifully low... We stayed for two nights at the Chateau Rochcotte as part of our Insight tour and it was much more than expected. From the moment we stepped into the reception area of this beautiful hotel we were mesmerised by the authentic and gracious surroundings. It was truly history coming to life and the best part of all is that we... More

I stayed here for 2 nights, as part of a tour with Insight Vacations. Travelling solo means I sometimes end up with the Potter-esque tiny room under the stairs. Not in this Beautiful Chateau! All the rooms are different (and all of our tour group couldn't wait to race around and see who had what!). Mine had 2 sets of... More

I've just read the awful negative review from Miss mf of Los Angeles 23.7.11 and, quite honestly, I have never read such rubbish in my life ! I first discovered "Rochecotte" in 1989 and have been returning ever since, in fact, in 2004 I arranged our wedding there with over 50 guests from all over the world captivated by this... More
