la Tortiniere is PERFECT in every way! Our stay while touring the Chateaus of the Loire was delightful. The hotel is charming, the rooms beautiful, the staff wonderful, and the restaurant delicious. I would recommend this hotel to anyone and everyone. You will need your GPS to find the hotel, but it's location is so lovely that you'll be thrilled... More

This is a very very nice place near Tours (10 Km), Montbazon, which you can choose to stay and visit all the chateaus that are nearby. We stay for 2 nights, it is a Relais of Silence and really worth the stay. The restaurant is amazing, wonderful food with a superb view. But.... yes, there is a but: we made... More

This place was just what we needed as we made it from hotel to hotel throughout France. I only reserved us one night here, and as soon as we arrived I wished I had reserved two! The rooms and the bed were the best we had on our whole vacation. It really had a bed and breakfast feel to it,... More

We stayed here for two nights in May in a room on the third floor of the main building (counting the first floor/lobby as 1). Our room had a sitting room with a sleeper sofa and a bedroom in the tower (round) that had only a bed and table as there was no room for anything else. The toilet was... More

This is a Relais de Silence and was very quiet. The public rooms on main floor are very elegant and the service is their main plus - outstanding. However, the room we started in in the chateau, rm 24, was very small and under the eaves AND up 3 flights (no elevator). To get into one side of bed, you... More

Dear Madam, Thank you for tacking the time to write some comments on trip advisor. When you checked in, you were the last room and the receptionist who understood that you did not appreciate the room could not offer an alternative as everybody else had checked in already. He finaly manage to give you a larger room ( elegance type)... More

This will be a very detailed review...so stay with me. I just returned from a honeymoon trip to France...part in Paris and part in the Loire. After much review and seeing so much positive feedback I decided on Tortiniere. I must say I could not be happier with my choice....it was the choice of a lifetime. Tortiniere is a elegant... More

On our frequent trips driving through Europe with our dogs, we stay here often, the rooms are nicely decorated, although the bathrooms tend to let them down, very basic, which is why I haven't given them full marks, but the restaurant is fantastic, make sure you reserve yourself a table. Have the cheese board it's the best we have ever... More

We had an amazing trip here in August 2011. We went biking with our 2 kids through the Loire Valley and stayed here for 2 nights. This was a wonderful place to stay, particularly in August. The chateau is beautiful and the rooms were lovely. The location is excellent as a starting point for bike rides. The management was lovely.... More

So much to say about this place. The grounds are just breath taking!!! The food is just incredible! We first got a small room in the little houses new the chateau, it was ok but very small. The next morning we were taking to the owners and we discovered that there was some availability in the Chateau so we upgraded... More

The unique atmosphere of something special. The castle itself, the small guest houses around. Perfect food-both the dinner, with the a la carte menu-would be appreciated by any gourmand, and tasteful breakfast, with real french croissants, cheeses and home made jam! I'd definitely visit this place once again!
