I really don't understand some of the rave reviews on this property - it's perfectly fine, but there's nothing special about it for the price. Just back from Sofitel Sribe in Paris and I was a bit underwhelmed. One of our main reason for choosing this hotel was due to its location for its close proximity to Roissy CDG Boarding/Alighting points and added with favourable comments from fellow trip advisors. It was a great area but don't expect to see 'affordable cafes' along the main roads for breakfast/lunch as compared to Notre Dame area. It is definitely close... more

Beautiful, traditional hotel in superb location. Rooms towards a quiet courtyard made it possible to sleep with an open window without waking up too early. Stayed 2 nights at the Scribe recently. Room : I must say that it is very spacious compared to my previous experiences with other hotels in Paris. A Trip to remember. Perfect location. Our room was ready at 9am when we arrived. Great service. We had twin beds and a roll away so it was a little cramped but the room was clean and well appointed. The restaurant was very expensive but they understood that my 8 yr old daughter needed her food to be Gluten Free.... more
