The best part of this hotel is the location. It's basically right near Notre Dame Cathedral and a short walk to the left bank shopping areas. We were able to walk to the Louvre, and there's even a grocery store across the street. As for the hotel itself, it's old but in good shape. It has the old fashioned French... More

I stayed at this hotel in August of 2011 with my mother and sister and had a wonderful time. This hotel is in the very center of Paris which makes it ideal for busineses and leisure travelers alike. It is a one minute walk to the metro which makes the rest of Paris very accessible. It is also a short... More

The hotel has lots of issues that I would like to share with other guests. We stayed in Room 507, over New Year's eve against our wish. I strongly suggest avoiding 501, 506, 507 altogether facing the inner light well if you have to stay in this hotel. 1. Inconsistent options, room availability on Tripadvisor search vs. hotel webpage: There... More

I stayed here with my older daughter for two nights in early January before continuing on to a rental apartment on Saint Germain. Charming older hotel with traditional decor. Excellent central location between the Louvre and Tour St-Jacques, yet tucked out of the way and very quiet. Courteous staff. Expanded continental breakfast a bonus. The "superior" double room was still... More

Very nice hotel well situated in the centre of Paris. Very quiet also, which is unusual for this part of Paris. The room is a bit small but it adds to the charm of the place. The building dates from the 1500! The desk is extremely nice. Breakfast is a standard buffet served in a well decorated room. Cant get... More

Very nice room, old fashionned but which fit perfectly with the idea of a romantic week end in Paris. Perfect location (even tough a little bit difficult to find) close to many activities (touristic with Notre Dame, shopping with Rivoli and bar/restaurants with le Marais). Staff very nice and helpfull. More

I am usually a bit posh. At the same time, I can like things that are charming, cosy and down to earth. The Grand Hotel Dechampaigne, located in a building from the 15th century, is all that. It is something about the atmosphere that appeals to me. Also, the location is perfect. You find the hotel in a small and... More

A bit hard to find a little alley, and a bit old school design, or perhaps that is the style they are going for. Otherwise clean hotel, good location, helpful staff. More
