Second trip to Paris and decided to stay in Hotel Louvre Richelieu, mainly for Location. It is definitely very very convenient, within walking distance to majority of the attractions, and being located in district 1, it was a very cheap price to pay.

sorry to hear about your disappointement. But you did book a room with no bathroom en-suite, i.e. only with shared bath facilities. Sometimes some of the vending sites are not very clear about the description of the rooms and can be misleading. Unfortunatly, we cannot help as we have no control on that.

The hotel is absolutely basic. The room was small but clean and very quiet during the day and the night. The only strange thing was that the floor was not even. I had to sleep with my head at the feet of the bed. Yes, the ground was not level in this hotel, but that is the only minor defect....

good location, lots of cafe's nearby. just a 5 minute walk to teh louvre. the shower's were tiny. you couldn't move without hitting a wall. bathroom was in a complete separate room. good room for the money, although don't expect much out of it except a bed and a sink.

and thanks for your opinion. You had choosen a room with shared bath facilities, which, I admit, is not very comfortable. 12 out of the 14 rooms in our hotel have a private bathroom en-suite, and the 2 other ones will soon desappear.

I accompanied my wife, who had a medical conference for a few days. Lucky me... but not lucky her, because I chose the hotel! The location was good, and the price was OK, but nothing good after that. The room was small and ugly... badly planned, with dirty blankets and bedcovers. Limited, and dirty, hanging space for any decent clothes....

The hotel was "spartan" at best. There's no TV and the staff is not very helpful. They did give us a fan since there is no AC. The floor was slanted so everytime I walked around the bed I felt like I was walking downhill. The is also no elevator so we lugged our siutcases up four flights.
