We stayed in Lille on a Eurostar weekend break and on reflection I'm glad we chose to spend a couple of nights in the Novotel rather than in the more expensive options. We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights and we were very happy with it. Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The bathroom was well set out with a bath and shower. We stayed at this hotel and found the staff to be very unhelpful. We also had our car broken into outside the main entrance to the hotel during daylight. The staff advised it was safe to do so. POSITIVES : Ideal location, 8 minutes walk to train station (still, a little more than the “a few hundred meters” mentioned on the Website). Nice, big, clean room. You will not be surprised by this formula hotel, but Novotel Lille Grand Place offers good value for money, reasonably well appointed rooms, good service and a great location from which to explore old and central Lille. more
