everywhere, in & out fo the hotel, smelled of sewerage. Tramps weeing in the street, over-priced drinks. The bar that's joined tot he hotel was unfriendly (full of regulars). Staying two days in Lille at a best western in center of town. Great location, excellent staff and very helpful.right around the corner is a great bakery and coffee shop. Skip the hotel breakfast and enjoy fresh croisants. The French make the best.

This hotel has a great location for exploring Vieux Lille. Staff is friendly and English speaking. Room was large with a balcony overlooking the street.
