Very much in need of refurbishment. Reception staff were friendly, but restaurant staff very indifferent. Quite often use Mercure, but wouldn't stay here again unless it had received a make over. A disappointment as the position is excellent. More

Good food, convenient for cross channel ferry and comfortable. The room furniture in our room was a bit battered and worn but that apart, this is a good hotel to use for an overnight stay. More

This building is decorated beautifully down stairs but but up stairs and rooms need a lot of work doing to them. All staff are friendly and polite but I'm afraid that it's not worth the money because of the rooms and location. More

The Marine hotel is advertised as a 3*, this is not a 3* hotel, immediately making it very overpriced. The hotel room and corridor decor is terrible; it reminded me of a 70's office block (including pebble dashed walls) with very worn carpet.
