This is the 6th time we've stayed with Elisabeth and Philippe and our visit was as wonderful as ever. They made us very welcome again, and we felt comfortable in their lovely home. The kind offer of an aperitif each evening was a bonus, and the breakfast was as good as ever. We can thoroughly recommend La Pluie de Roses;... More

Elizabeth and Philippe were lovely hosts, greeting us with a chilled glass of rosé wine which we enjoyed in the beautiful garden on our arrival. Our bed was nice and firm, and our room furnished in typically French pretty style, with cushions galore. Elizabeth is a retired opera singer, and this was reflected in the numerous photographs and decorations in... More

Staying at La Pluie De Roses, made our weekend comfortable, relaxing and overall perfect. Our hosts were generous and extremely hospitable. We stayed in the arlequinade room which was just lovely and spacious. We spoke no french at all but was made welcome by Elizabeth and Philipe with their english. Would not think twice about staying there again.

We struck it lucky by choosing this charming home to share for four days with our host s and two extraordinarily well behaved King Charles spaniels..Even one of them snoring whilst we had our most generous breakfast was amusing and comforting!! Our French was adequate, but when needed, Philipe was at the ready to come to our assistance with an... More

We liked this B&B a lot. In the 15 days we were in Europe we experienced a lot of different accommodations. We would rate this one as comfortable, charming, delightful and quaint. The host and hostess could not have been more gratious and helpful. The town/village is clean and picturesque with a variety of restaurants - unfortunately only three open... More

We stayed at La Pluie de Roses for one night, in the Arlequinade room which is lovely. It was during a very cold spring in Giverny, in early April 2013. Monsieur and Madame Chauveau were very hospitable. I was travelling with my 75 year old mother and they were extremely courteous and caring to make sure she was OK, assisting... More

Pleasant house and garden with polite hosts; we spent three nights in the ground floor studio which has a kitchen sink, small microwave and kettle (no fridge). The entrance is external via sliding patio doors - no lock but the gardens are locked and keys are provided for the gates. There are several b and b's at the quiet end... More

This was our second visit to Giverny. We stayed at La Pluie de Roses on both trips. Comfortable rooms with new bathrooms. A great glass enclosed sitting room to take in the evening sunset and eat a wonderful breakfast in the morning. Philipe and Elisabeth are very welcoming and helpful hosts. A few of our travel plans needed confirmation by... More

This was our only stay at a B&B on our recent trip, and it exceeded all of our expectations. The hosts made us feel like we lived there, the room was incredibly large and well appointed, the bathroom and shower were huge. The breakfast was one of the best we had in Europe, and so close to the Monet gardens.
