Some refurbishing since last year e.g new carpets.Brand new gym machines (rower,treadmill,bike.).Did not use but look good.Trees outside entrance cut back, no perches for incontinent birds! Wardrobe space a bit limited especially if winter coats brought.A couple of hooks inside the door would help.For a longer stay a larger room might be advisable. Excellent views of river and town,very quiet.

It is a good location easy walking distance to the main town with great views for the river and the chateau. Our bedroom was fine but some it seems were a bit small. Staff friendly. Breakfast was good too. Excellent value for money.

Just stayed one night on our trip down south. Location of the hotel is very nice and calm, view from the riverside rooms is spectacular. Very good breakfast and very friendly and charming staff. Not luxurious but well kept and good value for the money.

Stopped 1 night in room facing the entrance. Room facing river and castle more expensive but as only 1 night we were quite happy. We enjoyed a stopover in Saumur, and after six nights in a tent it was good to find a bed! The room was fine if not huge, and breakfast was acceptable. The hotel is a short walk from the town centre, but we had a wander in the evening and the morning and enjoyed the meal we ate.
