We stayed in several 'stopover' hotels, and this was easily the best one. A cut above the Akena/Etap types, and felt more like a family-run hotel (even though it is a chain). the room was basic but good value, and the reception staff were pleasant and helpful. We didn't eat in the restautrant (closed on Sundays), but there is a... More

Rooms are ordinary and breakfast (8 €) is sufficient but nothing to write home about. Service at the reception and same person at breakfast buffet were extremely helpful. The Hostellerie is easy to find, have more atmosphere than Etap, Formule1 etc. and is low priced. We did spend the evening up in the old part of Laon which used to... More

Room but smelt of ciggies despite asking for a smoke free room. Otherwise very welcoming and very good restaurant for evening and breakfast. Get there in time to visit the old town, maps available from reception. Cheap fuel from supermarket in indstrial area just off motorway. More

Good reviews on Tripadvisor and not disapointed. Large spacious reception area, and friendly staff. Simple but clean room with all the usual facilities, and car park outside the room window. Used the attached restaurant in the evening and ate a good, hot, and quickly served meal. The menu is a typical motel type but with German / French interpretation. It... More

Stayed for one night - a sunday when the restaurant was closed so can't comment on that, however the room was clean and pleasent and quiet. The staff were helpful in suggesting eating alternatives and how to get to the 'Old town' area as the Hotel was in the 'Suburbs' - easy to find from major roads though. The cathedral... More

There is an intimate atmosphere about this hotel, partly because it is smaller than many, and partly because the staff seem to have a philosophy of trying to make each guest feel special. My wife and I stayed here for one night when travelling through France in 2005, and did so again in May 2008. There is ample parking, and... More

This was our first night of a two week tour of France having taken the Hull-Zebrugge ferry. It was just the right distance away. The room was clean, the staff friendly and the restaurant very pleasant. Being our first day, our school boy/girl French was a extremely rusty but the staff were very understanding and courteous. My husband was happy... More

Enjoyed the quiet and simple service of this country hostellerie. Only 3 star but the restaurant and wine list makes it a 5 star. Arrived hungry and tired in very hot weather in July to enjoy one of the best meals and accompanying wines in a long time. There is a menu degustatcion and also the sommeliers choice of accompanying... More
