Good hotel, centrally located only a few minutes walk from the bus station and central square, comfortable 15 minute walk through the streets to the harbour. Plenty of shops and eateries locally. Small but adequate, comfortable rooms with good showers. Staff were very helpful and pleasant. Didn't use the restuarant so can't comment.

While the price was comparatively low for the area, the room was very basic to the point of being unpleasant to stay in - it should have been cheaper. The hotel is very ideally placed to visit the sights of La Rochelle. From the airport, I took the bus (for €1.30) to Place du Verdun, the hotel is a 2-3 minute walk from there. This Ibis, though 2 star, was cleaner and more comfortable than a similarly priced Ibis in Paris. Ventilation, air conditioning, and bedding was better. We found the Ibis well located for walking around La Rochelle. The receptionist, friendly, helpful and spoke english. The rooms are quite small, they are en suite but be warned, small.
