This hotel is a nice hotel, and in a great central location close to restaurants, sites and shopping. A little old, but nice, and a good value at the rate we paid of €76 per night. Clean, decent sized room with comfortable king bed. Small shower, but good. Electrical outlet in bathroom nice for using a curling iron. We were...

While Arles is not big, the location of your hotel still matters, mainly because there is no metro so you need to walk a lot. If your hotel is located close to the main sightseeing sites, it will save you a lot of time getting around and Hotel De L'Amphitheatre is exactly that.
The main sightseeing sites in Arles are...

This is a lovely hotel. Unusual, stylish, elegant, comfortable, atmospheric and wonderful value for money.
It's location is perfect within spitting distance of the Roman amphitheatre. Public rooms are filled with antiques and colour and our bedroom was charming and comfortable. Breakfast was good - I went for the cooked option - a rare treat in France. It was delicious...

Although we had a hard time finding the hotel - it was so worth it. We loved our room - it was spacious for a european hotel and beautifully decorated. It had a private nook with a desk and lamp, the bathroom was lovely with the toilet in a separate room. Our Room #22 overlooked the outdoor breakfast patio. The...

This hotel is within walking distance of the attractions in Arles which are well worth a visit. Step inside the door and you are met with a high cellinged hallway and interesting features. Our room was a good size for a family of 3, the 3rd bed for the child in the L-shaped part of the room. Very comfortable bed,...

This is a good two-star hotel. You would not mistake it for a three-star.
POSITIVES
The location is excellent, and service is pretty good. The area is pretty quiet. Hot water and plumbing are good.
NEGATIVES
When I booked my room five months out, I requested a quiet room and was told that “all our rooms are quiet.” I called...

If you want to visit the Roman monuments in Arles, this is the place to stay! It's within walking distance to everything you want to see. The roads are quite small, but we made it with our French car. The men at the desk were very nice and accommodating. There is no elevator in the hotel, but there are only...

The old building is so pretty, it made me smile just to walk into the lobby. Nice rooms, spacious by French standards, modern, spotless bathrooms.
The only issues were minor - very inadequate bandwidth for the wifi, and challenging parking until we figured out to park a few blocks away.
Its a really nice hotel for the price.

We spent a very pleasant 5 nights in this hotel. It is located in the centre of the old town, close to the old Roman Amphitheatre that it takes its name from. The hotel is in a sensitively rennovated old building. Highlights are the sitting rooms on the ground floor which have a nice atmosphere, a spacious breakast room, a...
