The room was quiet and comfortable to sleep in and the staff was friendly and helpful. However, the rooms are painfully small, dirty and in dire need of updating. Not too much room to move aroun in. I stayed at the Aston Clarion whilst on a conference in Nice. The two hotels closest to the Acropolis Centre (NH Nice & Novotel) were booked out and I do think that the Aston Clarion is nicer and probably cheaper than either of them. The staff was wonderful very helpful and polite. The location was very good close to tram and -15/20 min walk to train station. Nice view from our room. This looks it once was a nice hotel, but is need of a face lift, internal and external, I would niot stay here until they have done this and also completed construction of the new park across the street...very noisy if facing front, very dark if facing back...

Booked for special weekend requesting 2 deluxe rooms with balconies. Reception staff unable to allocate 2 decent rooms in 6th floor. Peeling paint, poor wifi, poor tv reception, no air con. Noisy from event hire above.

The Grand Hotel Aston has a great location for exploring the old city of Nice. It is also close the beach and Promenade. The hotel had comfortable rooms and Pleasant decor. Room is clean, toilet sepated from bathroom, bathroom with bathtub but the sink is shallow, water will splash out. Great location, walking distance to shop, restorance...... Breakfast is good. Do not stay in Room 414 or facing to main road, because is located in city centre, other than vehicle noise, the whole night u may hear people talking, screaming,is terrible... More

A wonderful hotel right in the centre of Nice, the facilities are endless. Friendly staff, clean throughout the building, I particularly enjoyed the rooftop terrace with adjoining bar/restaurant. I would recommend this place to anyone!!
