Charming, confortable and cozy are a few adjetives one could use when describing this hotel. My friends and I spent 10 days and just felt as if we were at home. The hotel is decorated as if it was a mountain chalet. The rooms as nice with sound proof and weather proof windows, most of them have a view of... More

Stayed over Christmas 2012. Great rooms, very clean good range of toiletries and a BATH! Essential for relaxing tired muscles. Good breakfast room on 1st floor with friendly staff and good range of meats and cheese. Taverna restaurant downstairs is popular for residents and non residents alike good menu and wine list, friendly English speaking staff Fresh smelling boot room... More

We stayed here over Christmas and although we usually stay in 4/5 stars I was impressed by the standard. It was warm, cosy, typical chalet style. The rooms were good - even though when skiing we don't spend much time in them. Breakfast was nice, and the hotel staff were friendly. Great value if you spend most your time on... More

The hotel is in a not bad location where is 5 minutes walk to chair lifts. But the staffs are not so friendly and the breakfast is very very simple for the hotel price. It is not good value for what you paid for.

The hotel has a good town centre location, handy for ski buses or a 5 min walk to slopes. The downside, as with all town centre hotels in ski resorts like Val d'Isere is the street noise as revellers make their way home from 2am-5am singing and shouting! Not the hotels fault but ear plugs are often a useful thing... More

MOve here from horrid chalet hotel val d'isere. Very pleased with room, facilities and food. Great hotel would go again and would recommend. Good restaurant, nice breakfast, clean large room with slippers, products and cleans towels daily, this was not provided in the afore mentioned 3 * hotel. Very impressed

Spent a week here and while the rooms were small and the hotel did not offer everything, they were clean and comfortable, the service was friendly and great and the facilities were working and functional. Great for a no fuss stay and we would be happy to go back as they made everything welcome and friendly. (we stayed on a... More

The architecture of the hostel is very classy, The cost a little bit high but in the mean for this winter sport resort. The reception is very kind and helpfull. The sauna is a pleasure after a day of skiing and the breakfast is amazing and plentiful.

Second stay and didnt disappoint us... Junior suites are big rooms for two...twins fine for two kids. If you ask you can get rooms opposite so it feels really safe. Access to Taverne d'alsace is easy from the hotel and is also good value. Overall great value.

We have just returned from a weekend skiing in Val d'Isere and stayed at the Kandahar which was lovely. It is very traditional and alpine in style and is in an amazing position. Our room was more than large enough with a nice large bathroom. The breakfast was really good and we will return again next year - what better recommendation... More
