I am a frequent flyer in Europe and the US, and am a return customer at Sofitel Munchen, being extremely happy with the hotel. The price would easily have been 3-4x higher for such a hotel in London or New York.

The Sofitel marketing folk like to use the word "Magnifique"-this Sofitel is (in the German equivalent ) nearly Herrlich. What made this hotel were the staff and the comfort / views from the room. Food is over-priced but good. Only gremlin is communications in the restaurant, but the management resolved this very well.
