I am a regular visitor and was realy astonished what the new chef made as a day menu.
The standard card is simple but excellent cooked but the "special of the day" is SUPER.
I am used to good food but this was a real surprise. Michellin: try this!

A nice hotel outside Munich. There is a free parking garage in the basement, which is good when you arrive by car. The rooms are good and the breakfast (included in the price) is good. Munich is easy to reach by metro from the fairground (15 min walk from the hotel).

We stayed 3 nights during the Oktoberfest period. The hotel is overall OK (free parking and free wireless internet), but we experienced a disappointing episode upon our arrival. We were given a room which was still dirty. The receptionist tried to quickly clean the desk and to empty the bin; then, she offered a cheap excuse to justify the episode....

Comfortable, clean hotel on the outskirts of Munich. Germany is a great country for road-tripping and this hotel is a nice place to stay for visitors who need to park a vehicle.
