Absolutely gorgeous view!!! Nice Italian food in the restaurant downstairs and good amount of space for a family. Great place to stay if you will be visiting Schloss Neuschwanstein. Only negative would be the indoor pool which could use an update.

Stayed here for 3 nights of a 5 night break at the end of August. Once the rain stopped the views from the lakeside balcony were beautiful. Worthwhile taking the lakeview rooms. Great location but yes you must have a car. Only 10 minutes from Fussen and the Fairy Tale Castle. Picture postcard view of the Alps. Complete kitchen and great size room for a European hotel.

Not a good value for money. If you don't have a car the bus lines nearby do not run frequently. Not convenient if visiting Ludwig's castles or want easy access to city center. Reviews and web page made this place seem better than it was. Clean spacious room and clean. Gym/fitness center had two machines. Sauna did not work.
