“Generally a pleasant stay, averagely clean & comfortable.”

I booked 7 days at the SORAT Hotel Spandau Berlin after reading the reviews for £GBP 174.40. Room reasonably clean and typically large and of normal size as was the bathroom attached. TV had both BBC World and CNN and several very good German channels. Breakfast should be booked through a site in advance for a reasonable reduction for companies... More

“Hotel Ok though not close to the city center”

I have been in the SORAT hotel in Spandau only to spend the night before working next day in Babelsberg. The city center of Berlin is reachable but not too close. For tourism I believe that there are better choices than this hotel. The hotels is situated in a residential area. Therefore it is hard to find a parking spot.... More

The service staff seem to only be pleasant if you speak German. There were some problems with our stay and we needed to reprint a plane boarding pass, but the "business center" offered did not include a printer. The staff were not at all helpful to us when we were trying to solve the problem, or when we were looking... More

Good hotel. Altough it is far away from the Berlin city centre. But Spandau has a nice city centre and there is even a shopping mall opposite the Berlin Spandau railwaystation. we where going to a gig at the zitadelle so wanted somewhere close. we knew the hotel was a bit away from the city and where a little concerned that we would not be able to get to see much of Berlin centre due to this. BUT... the public transport in Berlin is so efficient, we need not have worried.... More

Everything about this hotel was fine except for the front desk people. For some reason the man that checked me in and the man that checked me out were extremely rude. We have just returned from a week's stay at this hotel, good sized rooms and friendly staff. Hotel is about 25 minutes from central berlin by S-Bhan, the local rail system, which was probably at the limit for non car users.
