“Spartan but adequate”

Lodging near Potsdam is not inexpensive. The signs say you are in Bamberg here but the postal code otherwise.Three nights lodging here for two was 190 Euros, paid in cash. Alf, the proprietor, was a good host but has the outward appearance of someone central casting would choose to play a Brighton Beach loan shark. The rooms have hardwood floors... More

I booked this room some months before but when I arrived I was 'directed' to a room across the road. How basic does it get? No soap let alone shampoo. Towels that belong in a kitchen, not a bathroom and service that is non existent. On asking if there was a laundry nearby, the answer was "no!". The week staff... More
