The Best Western Plus Hotel St. Raphael is a very nice hotel with a professional staff who seem to take their jobs seriously. The hotel is very clean and nicely appointed. The front desk service was efficient and friendly. They even asked us which language we preferred---which we appreciated since we both speak German and were looking forward to using... More

After having a disastrous start in Hamburg with the Holiday Inn Express St Pauli-Messe we booked this hotel online 5 minutes before checking in. The hotel was clean, the staff were friendly and spoke English well, the room was a good size and the place was good value for money. There were a few little touches we found that made... More

I stayed at the Best Western St Raphael whilst visiting Hamburg with my mother. It is in the central district of St Georg only a few hundred meters from the central train station. It is actually slightly closer to the Beim Strohmhaus entrance of Berliner Tor U/S bahn station. I used to live in St Georg so I am fully... More

Dear Andyollings, Thank you for your review. It is nice to read that you and your mother liked your stay at our hotel. Yes St. Georg is a very multicultural quarter of Hamburg with a lot of nice corners. Just a tip for your next visit, try one of the various nice and good restaurants and bars at Lange Reihe,... More

I stayed here with my husband during a conference, whose sponsors chose the hotel. The lobby was small and visually confusing but the reception was very pleasant. The room was oddly decorated, part of a presumably creative design program that used up precious inches of space in a small room. There was just about enough horizontal space for what we... More

This hotel has a mixed bag of rooms. Some are large while others don't provide the same sort of room. But it is comforable and well-managed, and offers a good breakfast buffet. The hotel is within easy walking distance of the city centre and U-Bahn and S-Bahn stations to destinations further afield. St Georg, a lively area, is nearby. It's... More

We were there few months ago and I've been meaning to write a review for them. The place was good value for our money, the location was perfect, breakfast was good and staff were very helpful. The only downside was that the bed was a little bit soft for my husband but all in all it was a great stay. More

In a fantastic city. Stayed for four nights, but only really slept and showered there as I was out the rest of the time. Hotel was clean and staff were friendly. Room was not great though. We had booked what was ment to be a room with a double bed and a single but what we got instead was two... More

Checkin was fast and friendly. I had requested a quite room when making the booking. This was given me as I got a room facing backside of the hotel. Room was a corner room being oversized - great ! WLAN is free and with acceptable speed. No fancy logon, it is just to connect. Very good ! Came in late... More

Stayed here one night while in transit to points north. We picked it on a lark after scrolling through our car's GPS for hotels along our route. The hotel itself is historic and in decent shape. Parking is a little lacking, but it's located near the central station so it's probably by design. It's located near many clubs and cheap... More
