A nice surprise. The hotel amenities are very basic but the atmosphere is pleasant. The first impression of the outside view is not inviting. We always have a German Christmas market trip in December. This was our first time in Hamburg. The St. Annen is excellent in every respect! Clean, warm, comfortable and very friendly staff. A 20 minute walk or 2 stops on the U-bahn and you are in the heart of the city. Perfect!

Simple, clean and quiet small hotel in St.Pauli. Room was not big, bathroom is tiny, but all you really need is a comfortable bed, which they have. The Reception Manager was very friendly and gave some good suggestions. Breakfast in the morning is very decent. All in all a simple but well-run hotel.

This is a wonderful hotel in a residential part of Hamburg. Hotel was spotless and exactly as in pictures. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was delicious with plenty for everyone. Italian across the street, Ristorante Remo's, was also excellent and worth a visit. Will definately stay in this hotel next time in Hamburg. This hotel was excellent.
