Good hotel in a great location.
The entrance is a storey below the reception and you ride up in an escalator which is kinda unusual.
The inside is all the original brickwork and they play canned dripping noises so you imagine you are really inside a working water tower.
My room was fine but nothing fancy.

Unique experience staying in the "water tower". The entrance is upward sloping towards the reception with escalator accompanied by water sounds and images. There are historic photo gallery of the water tower and limestones in the lobby area.
Room is clean but not very spacious due to the circular shape of the tower.

I still have no idea why the upgrade gods smiled upon us so unexpectedly & benevolently that day - but when we opened the room door the first thing we saw was a spiral staircase leading upwards to a second floor.

It's certainly a striking hotel with great views from upper floors. We were booked in a basic room but were put in an upgraded room which was lovely. A bit of a walk from the main areas, but a pleasant one through the park.

I booked a standard room but as we were celebrating my friend's birthday I had asked for a nice room with a king size bed. Not only did we get both but they also surprised us with a little birthday cake which we found waiting in our room. Very nice touch! We really liked the modern design of the hotel....

Stayed for the weekend with 13 others at the start of August and found the hotel to be decent, clean and excellent service. Just what you need when you won't be spending much time at the hotel and only have two nights in Hamburg.
