Good, old fashioned hotel, great service. We arrived at night and left bags in our comfortable room. The taxi to the old city cost us around 5 Euros. We had dinner and returned to the hotel for a very restful night of sleep. Buffet breakfast included in the room price was very generous, with an incredible variety of excellent quality... More

An excellent hotel for business trips to Hannover. Rooms are well-appointed and quite luxurious, with TV, minibar, and comfortable beds. Breakfast buffet is good quality. .The hotel is a real 70s relic and has definitely seen better days. I was informed by locals that back then it was the top hotel in Hannover and was frequented by Pink Floyd and the Rolling Stones when they were gigging there. Somehow I don't think they'd use it now. Slightly date hotel with an aging carpet. I upgraded my room to the 9th floor. The prmised me A/c and when I called they sent me a portable unit! Personally I don't like Maritim Hotel style...too many colors, goldish details...they look old without being classic. This was also the case in Hannover, uggly buiding and the Maritim style. This is a business hotel near the exhibition center. It is dated now but was probably once a prestegious property. Well maintained. Average size rooms and bath room with bath tub and shower. In-room wi-fi available for 8 euros. Plenty of restaurant choices near by. More
