The Hotel looks to have received an update, but they have forgotten the bathrooms, or at least they feel somewhat outdated. Other than that it's a nice hotel and walking distance from the DOM and city center.

We had a very nice stay in the Novotel Aachen, which is conveniently close to the old town to go there on foot. We appreciated very much the nice food (especially dinner) and the nice and kind service received during our stay.

But they committed the #1 crime of poor hotels.... A plastic mattress cover. Hot, noisy, and uncomfortable. Do not stay here if you want a good nights sleep. I hate having to undo the bedding and remake it without the plastic just to get a nights sleep.

I found this to be a really good hotel with great service. It has about everything you need, plus an exceptionally friendly and helpful staff. My room was fairly spacious and even had a small sofa. Exceptional service! Nice rooms, gym with a view! My favorite place to stay in Aachen. The toilet seats have a weird shape and are too small. Sometimes there is problems with the water drainage. The restaurant food is good but not great. I do not recommend the choclate cake.

Great location in Aachen for shopping and sightseeing. Park in the underground car park any level close to the lifts direct to the Novotel reception for very easy and secure parking.
