the hotel is centrally located. nice and clean hotel with decent rooms. bed was comfortable. bathroom was small, but sufficient. the breakfast was good. the room had no air-conditioning or fan; and hence it was very hot. since the hotel is situated amidst a busy neighbourhood, keeping the windows open resulted in an absolute lack of privacy. the other drawback... I visited this hotel with a group in February 2012. It is in a good location and the hotel staff were friendly. Breakfast was fairly standard but there was enough choice. Overall I would be happy to reccommend this hotel for anyone looking to have a short break in Cologne.

I was attending a very popular exhibition in Düsseldorf, and my travel agent found this hotel for a reasonable price in Cologne, as every hotel nearer the venue was either full or extremely expensive. Hotel was fine; room was clean and small. Good breakfast buffet. Near tram stop, but would stay closer in to the Cathedral and Hohe Strasse (shopping area) if I went back. The neighborhood appeared safe, but lots of graffitti on the street; looked scary.

We stayed here for a weekend trip to the fabulous Christmas Markets. It was a great pleasure to be able to take a five minute walk to our first Christmas market at Rudolfplatz just around the corner on our first evening at the hotel. Our room was basic, but clean.
