This truly is an excellent hotel and it's hard to find things to cry about. The prices for WIFI are a letdown and should be revised (to zero, remembering the 5 stars). Charging an extra 15 Euros for the pool is strange.

It's a five start hotel, so of course the basics are good. Breakfast was perfect, room was big and clean, receptionist was friendly, all good. But, why on earth charge 15 euro's for few laps in the pool? Why should I pay 20 euro's for internet access?? In a 5 star hotel, this ought to be included...

Close to the Rhine, and Hohe Strasse, the Hotel offers an unique location, with excellent connections to the city infrastructure. The Rooms are descent in size and offering, but it's a shame the WiFi was an add-on pricewise. Service is world class in all matters.

We booked a deal through Expedia which gave us a free upgrade to an executive room. Room - 613 Room was large with seating area and desk and being on the 6th floor had a great views over the city towards the Rhine. Very clean and well presented rooms, large walk in Shower, plenty of shower creams & sprays available, extra pillows available from reception. Food good but expensive but restaurant opposite hotel very good & lower priced. Tram to city centre passes hotel

This is an excellent hotel if you are visiting Cologne on a city break we stayed here in December for the Christmas markets. Very friendly staff ,superb location . I experienced many Hotels in Cologne,this will be my favourite in future. Got a room with cathedral view ,wonderful Breakfast very good,did not like the coffee that much.

Ordinarily, I would have given this hotel a 4. However, I expected far better considering the price tag and the fact it is rated as a 5 star in the brochure.
