Spending my last night here in Chang Mai and gave really enjoyed my solo stay here. My room is directly outside the pool which has been very handy for an afternoon dip in the pool . The staff here are all super friendly and always happy to assist . A special thank you to MJ for suggesting I visit the Butter is Best American style diner, was on my Nancy chandler map and when she seen it she said how good it was so off I went on the bicycle and got lost however I looked over the road and there was the restaurant ( thanks MJ 😘) I love the free cold bottled water and definitely saves you money here, the free fruit particularly the mangoes are awesome and a good afternoon snack . The breakfasts definitely aren't your bacon and eggs etc but they do have crusty bread loaves , croissants, coffee machine with nice beans , yoghurt , cereal , and some local dishes also pot noodles and is sufficient enough. If you are looking for more breakfast options go to one of the many Cafes as every second shop is either coffee or juices . Beds are comfy enough and room cleanliness good . The only bad thing is that the air con drips water onto the bench beside the safe making it impossible to sit anything on unless you want it wet and I've had to place a towel on there to try and mop it up , the ceiling under the ac is water damaged and paint consequently peeling off, hopefully this will be fixed . Shower is ok but can't put dirty clothes on floor as they will get wet . Overall I'd definitely stay here again and highly recommend particularly for the service and price. A little gem here. Thanks Bed and your lovely staff are keepers ! 👍🏻❤️👌🏻

This place is OK. Very basic but clean and close to city centre. Furnishing is a bit sparse but beds are comfortable and shower works well. Friendly manager/owner. Check in times are limited however so keep an eye on your inbox after booking to find out what time reception is manned. Small charge for paying by credit card. Breakfast wasnt available when I was there but there are plenty of places nearby. FREE PARKING was a real plus.

Guests who book here have to realize it is an apartment that is being rented out by the owner, not a hotel. The check-in and check-out times are quite specific, as there is no one available there at all times so that was a bit tricky for me as I was worried to have someone waiting for me if I missed my train or something. But the owner was flexible with that. Otherwise, not much to say about the room as they are just "OK". It was the cheapest I found during my trip and that is the best advantage.

I got my money LOST in the hotel, inside my room!. Unfortunately I left 33 euros on the desk in the room and I forgot them there. Since there is no one at the desk during the day we had to send a message to the Owner/manager (?) and he didn't even replied to my message. I insisted again by mail and he answered back that his staff didn't find the money. When I asked him again if he could check again with his staff he replied really aggressive : 'my staff didn't find it!!!!'. It is a shame that this happen, because when you pay a hotel you don't expect to get robbed, at least when is a private room, that is why I never go to hostels. Now we have a bad impression about Germany because of this, and for sure I'm going to share this bad experience with others. There is a crazy schedule to pick up the keys, because there is not a person in the reception. And if you cannot meet the person they'll leave you the keys in a mail box but they will charge you more for this in your credit card.

It is important to note that this is a guesthouse, not a hotel or hostel. So the reception has very specific hours of operation and there is no food offered. For the independent traveler who carefully notes all the features described, this is a cheap, clean and convenient accommodation. I booked a single room, but got a room with 2 single beds. It was a large room with large window, desk, wardrobe, bed linen and towels, very clean and comfortable. The locality is very quiet, even though it is just around the corner from Neustadter Bahnhof. 3 minute walk to tram stop, 4-5 stops to Old Town. Very friendly owner personally greets guests and offers information about the area. Shared bathroom was small but very clean and I never had to wait in line to use it. The downside for some will be that there are no eating places in the vicinity, except within the railway station. But this was not a problem for me as I ate in town before I returned for the night. I highly recommend this place for young budget travelers who like to walk a little, and prefer peace and quiet rather than a hostel.
