It's a small hostel, and pretty quiet. It's located outside of the centre, but Bilbao isn't a large city so getting into town isn't much of a problem - around a 20-30 minute walk or a very short metro ride. First off, this hostel is probably fine for backpackers. You get breakfast (nothing fancy but good enough), the staff are reasonably friendly (unless you make a complaint of course), and the rooms are adequate. We came over with some friends to shoot some waves in the Basque coast and we had a sick time in the hostel! The staff was so helpfull, they helped us with connections to the beaches and they were really nice! The plus, a huge breakfast to keep your energies up the wave! Really Good stuff!!! This hostel is great.The staff were friendly - one in particular helped me make an hair appointment and phoned ahead for me explaining what I wanted (given my poor Spanish, this was a big help), they have maps available and are happy to help (ordering taxis, telling you what bars are good etc.).
