Lovely place and felt like a large B and B..very comfortable and everyone who works here including the cleaning women were cheerful helpful and engaging. Breakfast served by Javier ( really a delight) ..highly recommended for something different from the usual impersonal hotel

Firstly the service at Hotel Record was really, really good. The room we got was ok and overall the price was quite fair, considering San Seb is expensive. It's a very clean hotel as well. Only downside is that it's 15-20min walk to Old Town - but hey, if your up for the walk, then it's fantastic.

The hotel was simple, but fine. If you want quiet, try to get a room at the back. The staff were friendly and very helpful. I learned all I know - not much - about pronouncing Basque words from them!
