I fully agree with the last comment. This place is called a Palace? What a joke! Place needs s revamp quick, service is mediocre, breakfast? The worst we have encountered!, it is not properly located, far away from most tourist sites. Place is clean, rooms are good size, but this hotel doesn't deserve more than one star.

Let's keep to the basics based on a two night stay in mid May, 2113: Rooms: Large with a surprisingly cramped bathroom. No English TV channels. Clean tile floors ( no carpet). No refills for shampoo or soap. Hallways: Dark, stained and worn carpeting. AC: they don't turn the AC on until June; do not know when they turn on... More

Very large comfortable rooms. Easily reached by bus from the centre of town - bus number 1 which takes the scenic route to the hotel. Otherwise you can take bus C1/6 (quick route) from outside the town hall to the hotel. The gym facilities are good and are located just behind the hotel. There is a bar (just behind the... More

We had trouble finding it as we only had a sat nav and it didn't show on it. Eventually a kind policeman gave a map and directions. From the outside the hotel looked a bit grim, but inside it was delightful. The receptionist was friendly and the room was much more than expected. In fact it was a suite. It... More

I don't know if this was standard, but we got a hugh room that included a massive double bed and a sofa and chairs. It also had a very nice balcony, strangely there was no furniture on it, would have been nice to sit there and read. The room was the best with this hotel. Otherwise, like previously mentioned, had... More

My husband, two year old daughter and I stayed here the night before our return ferry to the UK after two months travelling around Europe. We hadn't pre booked, turning up on spec mid Sunday afternoon. The main attraction for my husband was the free parking, as we had a land rover and expedition trailer to park up! The car... More

Booked this hotel through Brittany Ferries who we have travelled with many times - we really rate them so were so disappointed with this bizarre OTT hotel. Stayed one night prior to getting ferry back to UK. Palacio ''del Mar'' is actually quite a few blocks back from 'del Mar' with no views of the sea (and no views at... More

The location is ok, but the hotel needs an urgent renovation. You can still smell the asbestos kind of furnishings and carpets manufactured with cheap unhealthy materials. The so called 'design' of the hotel is a wild mixture of an african farm, nostalgic memorabila of bullfighters and a bland concrete interior design.
